This list is mine alone. Mr. Wanderlust and I are keeping separate lists since we started traveling before we met and our lists aren’t the same.

**Depending on the source, there are anywhere between 189 to 196 independent countries. Some of the countries I’ve listed are self governed, although they are under the jurisdiction of other countries. For example, Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man are U.K protectorates, but they are all self-governed, so I considered them separate countries. We use a World Atlas list as our guide.
